Sophie Oxeant

Sophie Oxéant is an illustrator artist living and working in and around Paris.
A visual artist by training and a graduate in children's literature, her work naturally turned towards images and more specifically illustration, which she loves as much for its narrative power and its evocative potential as for its decorative dimension.

Influenced by modern painting, she paints images bursting with color in gouache, which combine a sense of detail and gesture effects in vibrant compositions. Her pictorial universe is essentially inspired by nature, the living, the organic.
